Artists, survivalists, perfectionists, these are some of the traits you could use to describe Massive Entertainment over the 17 years they have been in business. They are a studio that has gone from working on PC only games during the course of their first decade and more, to a company that mesmerized the world at E3 2013, prompting developers the likes of Hideo Kojima to jokingly remark "you guys are so good, it makes me want to quite my job." Massive Entertainment is a company that started up in 1997 and worked in one space, on one platform for longer than they could remember. During their first 12 years, they released three games and two expansion packs, all PC RTSs from the Ground Control and World in Conflict franchises.

Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes Review - TGH

"There's only one here. For years Hideo Kojima has said hed be handing the reigns of his Metal Gear series over to someone else, or stopping making them altogether. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was to be his last outing. But then a handful of spin-offs appeared and he couldnt resist the urge to create Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. During talks around the time of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and the initial teases of Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, Kojima seemed tired and weary of guiding Snakes path. His creation had come back to bite him in the ass. Or, at least thats how it seemed. But now the prologue to Kojimas next full-blown Metal Gear Solid entry has released, Ground Zeroes is quite possibly his finest work yet." - Words: Vaughn.H

SchollA from Console ControllUs - where the console controls us writes: Now that I had a chance to sit with Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes for awhile and while reflecting on the whole execution of Hideo Kojimas plan; it definitely feels closer to a demo than a stand alone game, (which I believe most gamers expected the latter from the first part of this two part series) I concluded that while everyones focused on the price vs the content justification factor we may have a bigger problem on our hands.

The Violent Sexism of Metal Gear Solid V

Cameron Kunzelman for Paste Magazine: "If war is the stand in for the designer in the Metal Gear Solid series, and war necessitates the perpetration of sexual violence against women in that universe, then theres nothing casual about it. Instead, it signifies that Hideo Kojima has nowhere left to go."
